Principal's Message

Mount Lilydale Mercy College, conducted in the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy, has a long and proud history of educating young men and women in the outer eastern region of the Yarra Ranges. We trust that the information and links found on our site enable you to explore what it means to be a member of this vibrant community and help you gain an understanding of who we are.

Our community aims to foster justice, compassion, hope and hospitality in the mercy tradition, and our extensive and inclusive academic and co-curricular programs encourage our students to broaden and develop their skills. We commit ourselves to the provision of a supportive environment where each student is encouraged to develop a love of God, of life, of others and of learning.

The ongoing development of Mount Lilydale Mercy College has given continual witness to the spirit of Mercy, courage, trust, and confidence in God. As a Mercy school we have a uniqueness in our spirituality. The first class learning environment is animated by the spirit of freedom, hospitality, love and mercy. Each student experiences respect, self-worth and unconditional acceptance. The College endeavours to emphasise cooperation and justice, leading students to play their role in protecting and enhancing human values in the world of the twenty-first century.
